PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A single-vehicle crash briefly disrupted travel on Interstate 95 Southbound in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation.

The incident occurred near the Atwells Avenue exit (Exit 37A) and was first reported at approximately 3:07 a.m. on June 22, 2025.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident. All southbound travel lanes were impacted by the crash, though the extent of the traffic disruption was limited due to the light pre-dawn traffic.
