Man Dies in Luzerne County Motorcycle Crash
BEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A Monroe County man has died following a motorcycle crash in Luzerne County late last month, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, May 29, 2025, on Thornhurst Road in Bear Creek Township. State Police say Ryan Snyder, 60, of Pocono Lake, was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his motorcycle.
According to the police report, Snyder’s motorcycle fell onto its right side, causing him to suffer a fatal head injury, despite wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Emergency crews, including Plains EMS and the Bear Creek Fire Company, responded to the scene. Snyder was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
