HAVERHILL, N.H. – A day of gusty winds turned fatal in the North Country when a large tree crashed down upon a moving vehicle, killing the driver, according to officials. The incident occurred on a scenic but remote stretch of road in Grafton County, leaving the local community in shock.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
